Sculptural Spiral – Central Design Element

The Austrian Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 features a prominent sculptural spiral, resembling an oversized musical staff made of wooden slats.

This central design element serves as both a visual anchor and a guide through the exhibition, symbolizing Austria's musical journey from the past to the future.

Sustainable Design Focus

The Austrian Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 emphasizes sustainability in both its content and construction. Featuring a spiral sculpture primarily crafted from wood, it showcases Austrian craftsmanship and underscores the economic relationship between Austria and Japan.

The structure, assembled with screws, is designed for easy disassembly and repurposing, promoting reusability. Additionally, the exhibition hall utilizes modular construction, reflecting sustainable practices for temporary structures in Japan.
