The first of our country, Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) is in Kanpur. The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The aim behind setting up such institutes is to make India the skill capital of the world. The building is planned as a Steel structure in G+2 configuration.
