A Contemporary Minimalist Home for a Budding Art Lover | Mumbai | SHROFFLEóN

Kayzad Shroff and Maria Isabel Jimenez Leon, Principal Designers of SHROFFLEóN infuse this sleek, minimalist, and modern Mumbai home- Apartment 2501- with personality, warmth, and artistic dimensions. The use of exclusive materials like statuario marble and variation of three veneers throughout with chevron-patterned wooden flooring gives a warm, minimal, and elegant look to the home. Located in Mumbai, this beautiful residential project by the design firm SHROFFLEóN features a sophisticated material palette.

shroffleon-art-lover-home-Every corner of the abode is rich in design and aesthetic values, but at the same time minimal and elegant. Designed for a fond art collector, the home nicely echoes the personalities of its inhabitants. The firm focussed extensively on the artworks collected by the owners during their travels. 

Welcoming Entrance

The entrance, flanked by the bar unit on one side is coated with a feature paint, highlighting it against the neutral grey backdrop of the living room.

Choice of Materials and Colours

The designers used statuario marble and a variation of three veneers in the entire apartment along with chevron-patterned wooden flooring.

They collaborated with Anand Prabhudesai to underscore the family room with copper panels against a monochrome palette. Further, the distinguished pops of pink color paint, as well as fabrics, adorn the daughter's room.

Minimal Lights

Unlike the uniform conventional layouts, the minimal lights in this apartment are strategically placed to highlight the feature elements.

Bedroom 2 EntranceThe construction was celebrated through intricate joinery details and juxtaposing two contrasting materials to make the design stand out.
