Apple CEO Tim Cook may be visiting India for the inauguration of its two new stores. Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) will witness the launch of the first Apple store on April 18 at 11 AM, followed by another store opening in Saket, New Delhi, on April 20 at 10 AM. Since Apple's last foray into India, the company has experienced considerable growth in country and has started several new initiatives such as local iPhone manufacturing and launching the Apple Store online. The upcoming brick-and-mortar stores in Mumbai and Delhi mark the growth of the company and its commitment to expanding its presence in the country.
The Cupertino-based company already operates multiple iPhone assembly units in India, and it is projected that they will augment the manufacturing of phones and other devices for both Indian and international users in the near future.
Meeting With PM
Tim Cook may also meet the Prime Minister of India- Narendra Modi. The meeting will surely unlock new opportunities for both Apple and the Indian market.
Amidst the ongoing tribulations between China and the United States, this meeting will highlight the significance of Apple's relationship with India
Other Executives
Along with Tim, Apple’s executives including the company's senior vice president of retail, Deirdre O'Brien, will also be there in the inauguration of the stores.
Located at the Jio World Drive Mall, the tech giant’s new store in Mumbai will span 22000 square feet while its store in Select Citywalk, Delhi will spread over an area of 10,000 square feet. These new stores are the first in India that has been directly designed and managed by the company itself.
Through these stores, Apple will educate people about the latest features and capabilities of their devices. With these new openings and expansion, the firm’s plan is to cement its position in the Indian market and fortify its presence in the country.
