ARA Designs Blends Modernity with Jaipurs Timeless Architecture in This Home Concept Showroom

ARA Designs Blends Modernity with Jaipurs Timeless Architecture in This Home Concept Showroom
This elegant dinning space displaying the products by Hermosa was designed to connect the different forms and zones of the space together.

Hèrmosa Design Studio is a three - storeyed modular furnishings and home concept showroom designed by ARA Designs situated in the heart of Jaipur. It is revolutionizing the idea of what an interior stylistic layout space can and cannot include in a Tier - 2 city. The project pays homage to Jaipur's iconic architectural elements, including the intricately designed mehrabs, jharokhas, and the vibrant Jaipuri color palette, skillfully integrated into the design narrative. The firm has shared interesting details about the project with SURFACES REPORTER (SR):

Millennial Pink Palette

Inspired by the Pink City itself, the predominant color scheme of the store mirrors the millennial pink trend, adding a modern twist to tradition.

Designed for a health oriented cafe merging the modern cultural food with the heritage of Rajasthan. The entrance adorns classic brass keys put in boxes to depict the entrance of a home with the door always open.

Peacock-Inspired Façade

The entrance façade of Hèrmosa takes inspiration from the enchanting and exotic native bird of the region, the Peacock.

Expressionist Hallways

The Hallways serve as a canvas for the essence of Jaipur's royal heritage. The arcs from the city's historic heritage sites are meticulously recreated in an expressionist style.

The feature wall made of chevron pattern from beaten glass is meticulously put together piece-by-piece, with the brand's monogram engraved in copper.

Thikri Craftsmanship Revived

Local thikri craftsmanship, revered for its traditional artistry, is rejuvenated through a contemporary lens. The chevron print modernizes this heritage while preserving the delicate balance between tradition and modernity.

Cafe combines modern cultural cuisine with the traditional flavors of Rajasthan. The walls are hand painted walls with the local art of Jaipur. The flooring also brings in cement tiles with the colors of yellow to bring in the east to depict sunshine

Harmonizing Material and Lifestyle

The central ethos of the design project is to achieve a harmonious synthesis between ethnic materials and evolving lifestyles.

The establishment of a 'modern' furniture design studio aligns seamlessly with the diverse product range offered by Hèrmosa, emphasizing the importance of materials in this creative endeavor.
