Timeless Fusion of Terrazzo, Wicker, and Modern Trends at This Restaurant in Faridabad Mall | The Melange Studio

Nestled within Faridabad Mall, United Coffee House Rewind blends contemporary flair with timeless charm. The design mixes nostalgic elements like terrazzo and wicker with modern trends, and features a glass facade, hand-painted calligraphy, and a colour-blocked green lobby. The centrally placed bar and various seating options create an intimate atmosphere, enhanced by brass accents and patented graphics. Design team shares more details about the project with SURFACES REPORTER (SR). Read on:

Inviting Facade

The glass-adorned facade allows mall patrons to glimpse inside, offering a tantalizing preview of what awaits.

Hand-painted calligraphy further conveys the restaurant's ambiance and offerings, tempting passersby to enter and experience the magic firsthand.

Material Palette

The project's material palette blends nostalgia with modern trends, using popular materials like terrazzo and wicker.

Attention to detail, such as French bistro-style fonts and strategic brand colors, reinforces its historical relevance in Delhi while remaining trendy.

Vibrant Ambiance and Intimate Design

Upon entry, patrons encounter a green color-blocked lobby with a ceiling adorned by layers of wicker lanterns, captivating them with its unique atmosphere. This lobby serves as a waiting area before seating, visually and physically separate from the rest of the restaurant. The centrally located bar serves as the heart of the space, around which all seating areas are arranged. Long private booths cater to various party sizes, offering different seating options.

Despite its spacious layout, the design promotes social intimacy with compact booth sizes that provide privacy amidst the bustling atmosphere. Soft curves, playful colors, and a blend of classical elegance and modern trends create an inviting ambiance. Warmth and character are added by brass details, wrought iron accents, and oversized wicker/cane lights. Patented graphics on the walls enhance visual interest and charm.

Elegant Terrazzo Craftsmanship

Terrazzo is the focal point of the restaurant's design, infusing elegant and timeless charm throughout. The bar's front showcases meticulous craftsmanship with terrazzo and brass accents seamlessly cast in place for a luxurious finish.

The flooring features a light grey terrazzo base subtly outlined with slightly darker terrazzo around booths and central seating, while the step-up front balcony complements the terrazzo with wooden tiles. Every inch of flooring exemplifies the contractor's artistry and precision, highlighting the beauty and durability of cast in-situ terrazzo.

Furniture-Balancing Elegance and Modern Trends

The furniture blends classical elegance with modern trends, complemented by oversized wicker/cane lights for warmth.

Patented graphics on the walls add visual interest, while dedicated spaces for monochrome decor pieces highlight the overall design.
