This modish family home designed by Arvind Jain of A.J. architects locates in a bustling neighbourhood of food street, V.V. Puram, Bangalore. The beautiful abode depicts the beautiful interplay of neutral and vibrant colour palettes with a modest budget. The 1600 Sq Ft home remains bathed in natural sunlight to exude a warm and inviting vibe. The design team conceptualised and designed a simple yet elegant décor scheme with varied materials and finishes, wooden textures, gold highlights, neutral and vibrant colour palettes and much more. The architect has shared with SURFACES REPORTER (SR) more about the project. Take a glance:

Nestled in Banglore, this family home combines the aspirational and functional requirements of the client.
The inside out façade and the strategically placed openings allow the sunlight to veil the house for most of the day, and this feature has allowed the design team to experiment with darker and bold colour hues, though maintaining the unity and harmony with neutral shades, leaving a mesmerising taste of aesthetics.
Main Entrance
The intrinsically carved curves on the main door delightfully welcome the guest.
The pencil ribbed storage unit in the foyer finished with peach colour and gold, surrounded with layers of textures and colour hues, melts into the beholder's senses.
Lively Living Area
The bold form of the false ceiling in the living room, finished with dark grey colour, grabs the attention.
The living area further boasts a panelled wall with wood texture laminates and a differently sized semi-elliptical three-dimensional panel made in Plaster of Paris.
Golden Colour Pop-up
The kitchen is planned, keeping in mind the functional aspects as desired by the client. Storage space is a crucial requirement; additional space is carved out to accommodate full height storage.
A small breakfast counter is planned for, which really acts as a cosy family den. The kitchen area is monotone with a pop up of gold colour in a muted way, behind the protruding handles.

Calm and Neutral Colour Palette
The design team enclosed a small balcony space in the master bedroom (otherwise overlooking and almost touching the neighbouring building) to provide additional storage and make way for a small sit-out area.
The master bedroom adorns a calm, neutral and soothing colour palette to enhance relaxation.
The washroom of the master bedroom is in monotone grey, broken with metallic red grout.
The parents' room and the teenage son's room are designed with a warm and neutral colour palette.
In the son's room, the calm, serene feeling is energised with a mud-brick colour ceiling.
