Old Fuselages from Carlsberg Beer Production Gets Fabricated into Chic Furniture | BeMo Cph

To create original and functional designs with an aesthetic focus and sustainable precision, BeMo Cph creates simple and beautiful furniture that is easy to assemble, reversible and sustainable. Produced in Copenhagen, two of its tables that are made of reused plastic from old fuselages sourced from the Carlsberg Beer Production are fabricated on very efficient and precise computer-generated machinery.

Designed out of a simple system by using no glue, screw, fittings or other assembly methods, the table’s design is straightforward and encapsulates the potential of the reused plastic. The reused plastic offers a unique look to the newly made plates. It has a special look and feel, both being a kind of chaotic look while also creating a green plant-like look.

The round table is assembled with four rectangular visible fitting holes on the tabletop with interlocking legs. Its assembled design creates a visual and design-related simplicity that makes the table very special. The rectangular table has a set of metal legs and the tabletop can be placed with both sides up, thereby opening up for variations in the finish of the material. In the long run, it can be replaced by a wooden tabletop or other reused materials.

Both the tables come in a flat pack that makes them easy to handle. Every part of the table is cut on a CNC router to minimize material waste during the production phase. The design for easy disassemble also makes it very efficient for changing out broken parts.
