Best of Furniture at THE WADE ASIA Architecture Event and MATECIA 2025 Captivates Architects & Design Enthusiasts

At the heart of MATECIA Exhibition 2025 and The WADE ASIA, the Best of Furniture showcase emerged as a true crowd-puller, drawing architects, designers and visitors alike into a world where craftsmanship, innovation and storytelling came alive through furniture design. From sculptural statements to sustainable solutions, this curation highlighted the evolving future of interiors, where form and function go hand in hand.

Architects in particular loved the designer furniture collections, praising them for their sculptural finesse, eco-conscious innovations and ability to transform everyday interiors into expressive spaces. The showcase became one of the most photographed and discussed sections of the exhibition, reinforcing MATECIA’s role as India’s most dynamic design stage. Highlights from the Best of Furniture included:

Essentia Home

Designed by Barcelona-based Luis Gimeno for Essentia Home, this chair channels 60s-70s inspiration with rounded forms, natural tones, and playful proportions..

Avian

The Sculpted Coffee Table with a petal-shaped ivory top and metallic accents make perfect for contemporary interiors.

Design Clinic India

Parth Parikh’s Tabla Poufs, made from plywood, layered foam and velvet-poly jute, transformed the iconic Indian instrument into playful, functional decor.

Design & Build X Dimensions Furniture

A custom console by Khushboo Madan and Sonakshi Pahuja combined Panda stone, ash veneer, wood and brass accents in a refined blend of materials.

Orange Tree

The Abacus Pouf and Meadow Coffee Table, combining acacia wood, cane and upholstery, showcased refined craftsmanship.

Vakr Studio

A sculptural coffee table by Devyani Gupta blended wooden veneer with sculpted concrete legs, thus creating an ode to artisanal craft and organic form.

Pravi Furniture

The Aathirai Side Table, handcrafted from reclaimed Burma Teak and Ivory Teak, reflected mindful design and traditional artistry.

Umeni Design Studio

The Arcus End Table, Mesic Table and Waterfall Console revealed a poetic balance of form and material.

Studio DesigNiche

The Blue Heart Lily Sliced Trunk, Pink Lily Sliced Trunk Table and Koi River Bench Table showcased natural artistry in reimagined wood forms.

Bramola


Bramola showcased its signature range of bespoke furniture including sofas, dining pieces, and accent tables at MATECIA 20225.

Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences


Tune & Tonic: A bar cabinet designed by Interior Design students of Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences.

With over 55,000 visitors and 300+ exhibitors, MATECIA 2025 once again established itself as the Mahakumbh of interior and building products, while The WADE ASIA celebrated its decade-long journey as India’s top platform connecting women in design, architecture and innovation with brands and thought leaders.
